SUBJECT: 2025 Incremental Allocations for EarlyON Programs
We are pleased to provide information on incremental allocations for 2025 for the EarlyON program. The ministry is providing an additional $17.95 million to help address rising costs and stabilize EarlyON programs’ service levels for children and their families. This one-time cost stabilization funding will be provided through an amendment to your 2025 Early Years and Child Care Transfer Payment Agreement (TPA).
EarlyON programs are vital to the communities they serve and provide high-quality early learning experiences for families. Through this funding, the ministry is addressing concerns from service system managers about pressures EarlyON programs may be facing.
To reflect these updated allocations, the 2025 TPAs will be amended and adjusted payments are expected to follow in the coming months. Please refer to Appendix A for details on incremental allocations.
In the coming months, the ministry will undertake a review of the EarlyON Child and Family Centre program to better understand operations and explore opportunities to strengthen support for children and families across Ontario.
We extend our sincere appreciation for your continued partnership as we work together to enhance and strengthen child care and early years programs and services across Ontario.
Sincerely,
Matthew DesRosiers
