What is Best Start?

Best Start is about parents, schools, child care centres and children's service professionals working together to help all children in the Manitoulin-Sudbury District achieve success and develop to their fullest potential.

What is a Best Start Hub?

A Best Start Hub is a one-stop centre for families, bringing together kindergarten, child care, parent-child programs, parenting supports, and access to a wide range of specialized services. These Hubs are located in schools or other locations which are central and closely linked to schools.

Best Start Hubs support Home, Child Care and School by providing:

• A rich early learning environment
• Family-centred services
• An inclusive environment

 

How can parents be involved?

Parents who wish to be involved can put their name forward as a Best Start Network Parent Representative, or you can join a Parent Advisory Group.
