The DSB’s main office is located in Espanola. We utilize 4 satellite offices to assist us in the delivery of the Housing program which covers our vast geographic area. From our main office, the Housing Department provides a range of administrative, support and funding services. Working in concert with other community partners we endeavour to provide safe, clean and affordable housing to families, adults, seniors and those with disabilities so that they may enjoy an improved quality of life:
Some of our services include:
Responding to all questions relative to Social Housing in the area covered by the Manitoulin – Sudbury District Services Board (DSB).
Receive and process new applications for rent geared to income housing within the DSB.
Determine Eligibility for social housing in accordance with the Social Housing Reform Act 2000.
Update Housing Applications, making changes as may be required from time to time.
Manage the Housing Registry, a registry which holds all applications for participating social housing providers.
Manage a capital budget for all DSB owned properties.
Provide direct Property Management services for the DSB owned rental housing stock located in eleven (11) communities.
Administer various Housing Programs involving private sector landlords and/or property owners. For more information please review the Housing News and Events section.
